    True, but one of the main purposes of birchbox is to INTRODUCE new products. Ones that you might not be immediately drawn to at places such as sephora or cosmetic counters in department stores, but could be great finds as well. Obviously those who would rather save money, or seek out these products on there own, will not purchase the subscription...

    I cancelled my birchbox back in January and keep checking videos to see if I made the right choice. Your video just confirmed that I did indeed.

    I really don't see why people are so crazy about this company. It's a fucking rip off. Sure, $10 doesn't seem like a lot, unless you actually stop to think about what you're paying for. The samples they give you can get for free at makeup counters if you ask. Especially the perfume. They have those same samples laying there for free to those who ask.

    So, basically what I'm saying is that if you really stop and think about what you're paying for (samples that are free elsewhere and the occasional full size product), you are paying MUCH more than retail value over the course of a year. The total value of the full sized stuff I got way maybe $40 had I just bought it in a store on online.

    This is the very definition of the term "rip off".

    continued... Sephora will make you a sample of just about every skin care product they have, for free, if you ask. If they don't have free samples, they will make one for you. I've gotten sample masks, moisturizers, eye creams, lip treatments, etc...

    The remainder is not worth $120 a year. I rarely got a full size product. When I did it was normally something cheap like chapstick. Those things that I got from birchbox did not come close to the total price I was paying. Seriously, it's a ripoff.
