atleast better than the cities of those "so called" developed nations where things are filled up with filth but are sugar coated. We work, earn, spend and save. Unlike nations that doesn't have a predictable future. Where jobs are there any more and misery is taking over. Just wait and watch. Cheers!

India is going to spend 1.2 trillion dollars on infrastructure in next few years. This includes metro in 17 cities and 7000km of roads every year starting 2010. Also old airports will be replaced by swanky new ones in most cities (some already completed). The unequal distribution of wealth is much bigger problem with no clear solutions.

Cos unlike those cities it is practically impossible to escape the slums and poverty features of mumbai! Even shanghai or rio de jenero is beautiful to look at but all indian cities look like it is still stuck in the 80s

You're pretty fucking stupid, it's impossible for a country such as India to do something like that. Do you know your math? 1.7 trillion dollars is more than half of INDIA'S GDP. That is over 75% of it's GDP. That is impossible, even the USA does not spend that much, much less INDIA. Not to put down Indian success, but this is simply impossible. India atm is only investing about 6-7% of it's GDP on infrastructure. That's only a couple hundred billion dollars, not 1.2 TRILLION in a few years.
